First ex. is attested only in compounds. Corresponds in form and meaning to SKT srótas- n., Old Persian rautah; irregular θr- for *sr- (with 's-mobile'), which Bartholomae calls 'dialectal'. Also θraotō.stāč- 'flowing in the river'; θraotō.stāt- 'staying in the river'.
